She was drowned in her thoughts of love and of care

She wanted it all, didn’t she know it was there?
She wanted the earth
And all of its mirth

She left it behind, the love of her God
She didn’t need Him, she needed more than just God
She needed a love that she could feel and see
He loved her so much, but He let her be

She thought that the world was a big, old toy
She tried to find romance, but there wasn’t a boy
She didn’t know that she had all the love there could be
He looked down at her, He just wanted her to see

She was blinded by Satan’s cursed night
She hated the darkness but where was the light?
The world was no toy, it was so unkind
He looked down at her, oh, she was so blind

One day she decided this life was not right
She wanted to see, to come back to the light
She went to the place that she had left so long
She lifted her head and she let out a song

“Oh God, I have wandered away from you here
Oh God, my heart aches to be free from this fear
Please God, let me come back, I want you again!”
And He looked down at her, and he took her hand.

Alyssa, this was a beautiful poem about the way life really is for so many people, but she came back. Thank God. I love you.
